OBITUARY.

Mrs G. Phillips received the sad intelligence, on Tuesday morning last, of the death of her mother at Kew, Invercargill, which took place the nigbt previous. The deceased lady had beeu ailing for about two months. The immediate cause of death was heart failure. The deceased is survived by her husband, two sous and six daughters, among whom are Mesdames Teviotdale, Phillips and Miss Kempton, of P'oxton. The above-mentioned were able to reach Invercargill prior to the interment. We extend our sympathy to the relatives of the deceased in common with their many friends in this district.
