SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
The following school committees have been elected by the householders in the districts named : Moutoa. —Messrs M. Newth K. Pigott, W. Young, J, Doyle, W. Coker, W. Dudson and ASaunders (chairman and secretary). It was resolved that the Board be asked to build another class room onto the school, or, failing that, to enlarge the present room. It is built to accommodate 40 children, whereas there was an average attendance last quarter of about 46, and at times there are 54 present. There are also a number of new children coming to the district. Eevin. —Messrs C. Palmer, E. S. Lancaster, W. Francis, T. Broome, J. Malcolm, E. Shaw, I. Hook, D. Hannan, T. A. B, Hudson. Glen Oroua. —Messrs J. Sanson (chairman), R. Ross (secretary and treasurer), W. Amon, J. Boyce, C. Hopping, F. W. Scott, D. Young. The balance-sheet showed a credit of ,£lO 2s sd. The only new member on the committee is Mr Scott, elected in place of Mr W. Farmer, who is on his way to England. Tokomarn.— Owing to the stormy night only Messrs Simpson, Deveral and McEaggau were elected, the election of the other three members being left to the Education Board. Tiakitahuna.—Only three persons turned up at Tiakitahuna, and no election took place. Shannon. Messrs Merewood, J. W. Batchelar, J. Murray, J. T. Wells, J. B. Better, R. Bilderbeck and Grimstoue.
