CRICKET.

The local school boys have played matches with teams from Himatangi and Moutoa this season. The local boys defeated Himatangi by an innings and 11 runs and were defeated by Moutoa by six wickets. The following are the scores :

On Saturday next a team selected from the Himatangi and Foxton Clubs will journey to Shannon and play a team representing the Shannon and Miranui Clubs. The local eleven will leave by drag at x p.m. sharp. As it has been arranged for the game to commence at 2.30 o’clock it is hoped that every member of the team will make a point of being at the Post Office, where the drag will leave before one o’clock in order that there may be no delay.
