ANTARCTIC EXPLORATION.
Berun, Dec. i. Sir Ernest Shackleton, the Antarctic explorer, has finished a lecturing tour in Germany, where he addressed his audiences in the/ German language. 1, Speaking at Mannheim, Sir’ Ernest wished Eieutenant Filchner’s expedition success, and declared that camaraderie in science knew no bounds. Eieutenant Filchner, replying, said if he achieved anything he would owe it to the work of the British explorers.
