CORRESPONDENCE.

[To the Editor.] Sir. —May I be permitted to ask the Borough Council to provide the sanitary contractors with some suitable disinfectant and compel the same to be used when carrying out their duty. A little quick lime sprinkled in the pan after removal would perhaps do away with the present disgusting method of leaving the stench in the receptacles after removal. It is bad enough in these day of advanced hygene to be cursed with an unhealthy system of uightsoil removal without having to put up with this further diabolical nuisance, I hope this nuisance will be abated before the hot weather sets in. Thanking you in anticipation. —I am, etc., Health.
