The Review of Reviews for September is of more than ordinary interest, inasmuch as it deals very effectively with certain statements regarding the present King which, if true, were not to his credit. Rumours of these things have been freely circulated throughout the Dominions as well as in the Old Country. The article in question deals categorically with them and disposes of them effectually. The celebrated Passion Play at Ober Amraergau, which has recently taken place for the third time, is copiously dealt with. These two articles alone make the magazine of special interest. The section devoted to a review of the leading articles of the world is very complete.

J, White and was a resident of Foxtou for a number of years, and until just recently, when she left to take up her residence with her daughter in Napier. Her health for some mouths past has been far from good and of late has taken a decided change for the worse culminating in her death yesterday. The late Mrs McMillan, who was 44 years of age, leaves one daughter to mourn her loss.
