There is a growing feeling here against the exhibition of the kinematograph pictures of the JohnsonJeffries fight. At a meeting of the London County Council the Rev- Scott Lidgett (alderman, and editor of the Methodist Times) gave notice of a resolution notifying all music halls and kinematograph theatres that the pictures are undesirable. New York, July 8.
The syndicate which intends the exploitation of the JeffriesJohnson biograph pictures declare that they will not attempt to force the pictures on communities legislating against them, and promise to permanently shelve the pictures if popular sentiment is adverse to them. Cape Town, July 8. The Union Government has given an instruction to the police to prohibit the exhibition of the Johnson-Jeffries fight pictures in South Africa.
