KING EDWARDS DEATH.

London, May 24. It is officially announced that the Queen Mother Alexandra is very grieved at a report which has been printed and circulated by some society to the effect that King Edward’s death was caused by a vaccine treatment he had received to prevent his contracting influenza or pneumonia before the journey to Biarritz.

Queen Alexandra wishes it to be known that before King Edward left England he never felt in better spirits than after his treatment, for it kept him in excellent health, to his Majesty’s entire satisfaction, for no less than fifteen months. The attack from which he suffered at Biarritz was in no way related to the previous course of treatment. The Queen Mother Alexandra, in reply to an unfounded rumour that she intends to hereatter reside in Denmark, declares that she will ever regard England as her home. [lt was lately cabled that the Mother Queen Alexandra, with her sister, the Dowager Empress of Russia, intended visiting Denmark, which is ruled by their brother, King Frederick VIII.]
