Grky.moutii, May 25. The Premier received an official cable from the High Commissioner this morning announcing the death of Mr Baume, M.P. for Auckland East. He handed it to the Hon. A. Guinness, Speaker of the House, who promptly wired instructions to the Clerk of Writs to issue the writ for the election. Auckland, May 23. The two declared candidates for the representation of City East, rendered vacent by the death of Mr Baume, are Messrs A. M. Myers and W. Richardson. The Labour Party has definitely decided to put a candidate into the field.
