PHIL. WALSH DRAMATIC COMPANY.
“TEN NIGHTS IN A BARROOM.” To-morrow night the above popular company pay a return and farewell visit to Foxton when the new American version of “Ten Nights in a Bar-room” will be staged, with Mr Phil Walsh as the unfortunate inebriate, Joe Morgan, a character made famous by the late Charles Warner, Samuel Phelps and others. Miss Marius-Paigne will appear as Fanny Morgan, and the numerous other parts will be played by the remaining members of the Walsh Dramatic Co. The celebrated character, Carrie Nation, the American “Saloon Smasher,” is introduced, and, with her following destroys an entire bar-room set which should in itself prove a highly diverting scene. The performance concludes with a beautiful illuminated apotheosis showing “Fanny among the Angels.”
