The Minister of Industries and Commerce received information that the complete actual returns of the Victorian wheat harvest for 1909-10 shows: Area cut for grain, 2,079,162 acres; yield 28,780,100 bushels; average yield per acre, 13.72 bushels. The figures for the previous season were 1,779,905 acres; yield, 23,345,649 bushels ; average, 13.13 bushels. It is added that per cent, of the bags used were of the local new standard size, containing an average of 3.09 bushels (old standard 4.4 bushels).
