SHANNON NOTES.

A meeting of the Shannor and Tokomaru Bicycle Road Racing Club was held in the Club Hotel. Shannon, on Wednesday evening last. Present: Messrs A. Thompson, (chair), Sullivan, Filling, Brown, Spencer, Docherty, M. and W. Moynihan and Berquist. The following resolution was carried : “Boundaries of district Foxton, Tokomaru and Otaki, course, from Club Hotel Shannon to Levin Express Coy’s, stables, back to Makerua railway station gates and finish at Club Hotel Shannon.” Mr M. Moynihan offered £1 is as a special prize. The following officers were elected :—Haudicapper, Mi A. Thompson ; starter, Mr W. Berquist; timekeeper, Mr J. Filling ; judge, Mr M. Moynihau ; checker at Makerua, Mr W. Moynihan ; checker at Levin, Mr J. Phillips ; hou. secretary, Mr James A. Muir. The date of the race to be Wednesday, 6th April, at 2.30 p.m. Entries to close with the secretary, James A. Muir, Weraroa, J. Phillips Levin, and M. Moynihan, Shannon, at 8 p.m. on Friday, rst April. The race to be a sweepstake of 5s divided into Ist, 2nd, and 3rd prizes and special prizes for fastest times, one donated by Mr M. Moynihan to be for that object and others to be solicited. Any entrant not paying bis entry money will have a sealed handicap till payment is made,
