LAND BALLOT.

Napier, Feb. 19

The ballot for the Tangati estate took place to-day, there being 180 applications for the twelve sections. The following were successful :—A. H. Rudd (Martinborough), W. C. O’Reilly (Waverley), N. D. Barrett (Wellington), C. E. Lowe (Hastings), F. Mahony (Napier), Wm. Broome (Blenheim), Donald Wardell (Ashburton), Ann Osborne (Carterton), Bruce Barnett (2) (Inglewood), Nathaniel Lowe (Hastings), Arthur Ford (Wellington), August Schaare (Makotuku).
