HIMATANGI v UNITED

United journeyed to Hirnatangi yesterday afternoon but could only muster seven men. Hirnatangi batted first and as will be seen by the scores that team has more than one batsman who can lay on the wood. The ex-New Zealand rep. Redgrave, gave a good display of hitting, scoring no less than five sixers in a total of 59. The other double figure scorers were Caithness 2t, Witton 20, Albrey 12, and Rori and Death 10 each. When the last wicket fell the score stood at 150. United could do nothing against the bowling of Redgrave and Death and when the last wicket fell the score was only 10. Messrs Reade and Moffatt gave every satisfaction as umpires.

The following are the scores
