CRICKET.
To-morrow afternoon the first matches ot the second round of the local Association’s competition for the Austin Shield will be played. Himatangi have drawn to meet Glenoroua at Himatangi, and the two local clubs, United and Foxton, will play on the Park pitch. Both matches will commence at 2 o’clock. Foxton will be represented by the following : - Bullard (captaiul, Cook, Evans, Muuro, Preston, Robinson, W. E. Howe, Seftou, Witchell, Tawhai and Whibley. Emergencies: L. Howe, Barber, Henuessy. An error crept in our last issue as to the fixtures of the Foxton Cricket Association for the second round for the Austin Shield. It was the match for to-morrow, Himatangi v. Glen Oroua, to be played at Glen Oroua. This should read Himatangi as Glen Oroua as yet does not possess a cricket ground. In the interests of cricket let us hope that before long this will come ino force. The team to represent United will be selected from the following Stiles, Gordon, Woods, Bowe (3), Betty, Spelman. Young, Campbell, Reeves, McCall, Edlin, Martin, Walden, Littlejohn.
