FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.
A meeting of the Committee of the above was held yesterday. Present : —Dr. Adams (chairman), Messrs Healey, Gordon, Wynd, Martin, Boyes, Hadfield, Imrie, Baker, Robinson and Whibley (secretary). Correspondence was read from the Borough Band, offering to supply the music at sports on the King’s Birthday for £6, and also to play at the gas light meeting: gratis.—lt was decided to accept the offer.
Messrs Evans Bros., tender for right of refreshment booth on sports day was accepted. The Committee appointed at the previous meeting to draft a programme for the gas light sports submitted same which was adopted. Messrs Johansen and Walsh were re-appointed gatekeepers on the same terms as last year. It was decided to exhibit the trophies to be compeied for on the King’s Birthday in Messrs Fowler and Gordon’s window. Minor matters in connection with the sports were arranged and the meeting, terminated.
