IN BANKRUPTCY.

The adjourned meeting of creditors in the estate of C. Easton, of Foxton, butcher, was held in the" D.O.A.’s office, Palmerston Northmen Thursday. Mr G. J. Scott presided, and there were present Messrs G. Coley and B. G. Gower (creditors), A. S. Easton (father of the bankrupt), and H. R. Cooper (representing Murray, Roberts and Co.), and J. H. Hankins (representing bankrupt’s father). At the previous meeting bankrupt’s father had offered 5s in the £ to the creditors together with the estate and the book debts, and an adjournment had been made to allow all creditors to consider the offer. The question was discussed again yesterday, and on bankrupt’s father agreeing to pay all creditors’ costs in connection with the petition, the creditors decided to accept the offer on the motion of Mr Go\yer, seconded by Mr Coley.
