FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.

A meeting of the Committee of the above Club was held in Mr Perreau’s rooms last night. Present : Ur Adams (President) in the chair, Messrs J. T. Levett (Vice-President), F. Hadfield, F. Martin, Robinson, Gordon, Imrie, Baker, Wynd and Whibley (secretary).

It was decided to ask the Foxton Brass Band for their terms for playing on the King’s Birthday, and also at the Gas Light Sports. The bicycle road race for trophies including , a new bicycle presented by Messrs Eowler and Gordon, was fixed for the morning of December 2nd, the course to be from Foxton to Shannon, thence to Levin, and from there back to Foxton. Mr Peter Robinson’s tender of ios for lighting up Victoria Park on the night of December 2 was accepted. Messrs Robinson, Gordon and Whibley were appointed to draw a programme for the gas light meeting and submit same at the next meeting of the Committee.

Other minor business was transacted and the meeting terminated.
