MANAWATU BOWING CLUB.
The annual general meeting of the Manawatu Rowing Club was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance and Mr G. W. Morgan .was voted to the chair. The Treasurer presented the annual balance-sheet which showed that the Club commenced the year with a credit balance of 5s id. As the season was not opened at all there were no other receipts. The expenditure totalled 18s gd, but accounts amounting to ys 6d have still to be paid, which will bring the total expenditure up to 6s 3d, thus leaving a of £3 18s xod with which to commence the season. The statements of assets and liabilities showed assets amounting to ,£2OO over liabilities.
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year : President, Mr B. G. Gower; Captain, Mr Gabites ; Vice-Captain, Mr F. Woods; Secretary pro tern, Mr Horublow ; Treasurer, Mr G. W. Morgan ; Committee, Messrs J. H. Yerex, J. Gillespie and E. Healey; Trustees: Messrs B. G. Gower and M. H. Walker; Auditors: Messrs Orwin and Whibley. It was decided to open the season on the 27th inst.
