At Sydney on Saturday, the Wallabies beat the Kangaroos by 15 points to 6. The game was strenuous. The Wallabies played brilliantly and outclassed their opponents.

The annual match between the representatives of Manawatu and Wairarapa was played at Palmerston on Saturday. The play was not up to inter-Union standard, and Manawatu had the best of the game throughout. The score at the call of time was Manwatu 14 (4 tries one converted), Wairarapa 5 (a goal from a try).

The Wellington touring team defeated Otago at Dunedin on Saturday by 13 points to 3. Three men had to leave the field through injuries, McUeod having broken a rib and Walshe and Ivemey injured their knees. The second test match between the Sydney University and New Zealand University teams was played at Wellington on Saturday, and resulted in a win for New Zealanders by 17 points to 14. O’Ueary (New Zealand) broke his collarbone.
