PHIL WALSH’S DRAMATIC COMPANY.
TO-NIGHT.
This evening in the Public Hall, the Phil Walsh Dramatic Company make their first appearance to Foxton patrons of drama. The company has arrived, and the stage is adorned with beautiful scenery that has been , specially painted for the “ American Tramp.” Mr Walsh'is not new to the Dominion, as he came into this country as stage manager for Andrew Mack, and representative for J. C. Williamson. In looking through the cast of characters, which we circularised through our Saturday’s issue, we find the names of well-known artists who have been connected with such large companies as Allan Hamilton, Bland Holt, and John F. Sheridan. It is expected that Foxton will be well represented at the production of ‘ ‘The American Tramp,” this evening, and a large house is assured.
