HEMP MARKET.
The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows: :—The hemp market is firm, owing to reduced supplies. New Zealand offerings small. New Zealand good fair grade on spot, per ton ,£24 ; New Zealand fair grade on spot, per ton ,£23 ; forward shipments at same prices; fair current Manila, per ton on spot ; forward shipments ,£23 15s. Reported Americans are again buying more freely. Manila output 27,000 bales.
