Paris, July 25
M. Briand, the new Premier, takes the Under-Secretaryship of the Post Office, held by M. Sunyan, who came into prominence in connection with the late postal troubles by opposing the civil servants. The revolutionary Socialists have ordered the cutting of the telegraph wires to cease until M. Briand has answered the demand tor an amnesty to the 800 postmen dismissed over the recent strike. The chief planks of M. Briand’s platform are—-Navy reorganisation and pensions for the working classes.
