ACCIDENT.

A middle-aged man met with a painful accident on board the scow Echo at the wharf this morning. It appears that in passing the winch he fell against the wheel and the revolving pin lacerated the knee cap and fractured the patella. Dr. Mandl ordered his removal to a hotel where the injuries were attended to, after which he will be transferred to the Palmerston Hospital. The unfortunate man, who had just signed on, will be incapacitated for several months.
