SCHOOL CONCERT.

Despite the short notice, the concert last night in aid of the school funds was a great success, both from an entertaining and financial point of view. The children acquitted themselves in their various items with marked success, which reflected credit on those ladles who trained them, namely, Mrs Wrigley, Misses Jenks, Barber, and Signal. The items by the glee party, conducted by Mr T. Betty, were also much appreciated. The tableaux were very effective, and created much interest, the Rev. Mr Aitkeu, assisted by Mesdames Aitken and Stewart, were responsible for the draping, etc., of those taking part. Among the juvenile items, special mention must be made of the character song, “ Maggie Schneider,” by little Miss Marion Levett, who was charmingly attired. Her actions and clear enunciation were perfect and she received quite an ovation.
