Sir George Clifford’s Husbandman is the ruling favourite at present for the Wellington Cup, to be run on Wednesday next.
Foxton’s acceptances and entries for the Trial Hack and Maiden Scurry close with the secretary, Mr Angus Keith, at nine o’clock to-night. Mountain Melody, owned by Mr Ward of Marton, nominated for the Trial and Scurry at the local meeting, died this morning.
