BOROUGH COUNCIL.

A special meeting of the Borough Council was held last night for the purpose of considering applications for librarian and to accept tenders tor iron fencing. Present: The Mayor and Crs Shadbolt, White, Jeuks and Henuessy. Seven applications were received for the position of libiariau and after due consideration that of Mr J. Thorpe was accepted on the momotion of Cr Henuessy seconded by Cr Shadbolt and carried unanimously. On the motion of Cr Jeuks, seconded by Cr Hennessy, the tender of Mr Rimmer for erecting fence at xßs was accepted.
