THE BLACKBALL STRIKE.
Ttmap.u, May 5. Mr Pryor, Secretary to the New Zealand Employers’ Federation, while passing through Christchurch to Timarn, to-day, met the directors of the Blackball Coal Company and received their reply to an offer made by the AdGsory Board of the Federation. This was that if the Government would not take action against the Unions that have voted contributions to the strike pay fund of the Blackball miners, the bederalion would employ counsel and pay all expenses, if the Company took action, ’1 he directors accepted this oiler an 1 the question of making such contributions is an offence, as aiding and abetting a strike, will lie tested in a court of law.
