BRITISH LICENSING BILL.
London, May 5. Lord Robert Cecil has presented a petition against the Licensing Bill, bearing 600,000 signatures and covering nine miles of paper. Mr John Wilson presented a petition a mile and one third in length and containing 169,510 Methodists’ signatures in favour of the Bill.
