PEACE DAY.

Auckland, Nov. 28. At a meeting of the Auckland Education Board to-day, a request was considered from the International Arbitration and Peace Association that special lessons on “ Peace Day ” be given in the schools on February 22. Mr C. J. Parr said everyone desired peace but they should train children in the art of keeping the peace by giving them a knowledge of the use of arms. The request was declined.
