The above Club concluded their programme on Victoria Park yesterday afternoon in perfect- weather and, for onlv a half-holiday, a very good attendance of the public. The number of competitors, however, was poor with a couple of exceptions, but capital racing was witnessed. By winning the final distance in the Grand Handicap Alzdorf secured the cup by Messrs Stevens, Easton and Austin. The flax-spreading cordpetition created much interest, and was won by A. Dudson. Alzdorf did the fastest time, but lost a lot of points through bad spreading. C. Hood was second. Taken altogether the Club should not lose of make much through this season’s sports.
