CHARLEY’S AUNT.
The above side-splitting comedy was staged in the Public Hall last evening to a large and most appreciative audience, by the Levin Dramatic Club, and their staging of the piece showed adaptability to the various characters and that careful and assiduous rehearsing had been indulged in. From the rise to the fall of the curtain a continuous ripple of laughter pervaded the , hall. The various parts and situations were reported in full when 'I the company previously staged “ Charley’s Aunt ” here, therefore a repetition is unnecessary, but we can honestly say that many travelling companies we have heard have failed to do anything like the justice to the comedy that our Levin neighbours did last night. The company have secured the hall for both race-nights, when, we understand, “Current Cash” will be staged. The prizes and trophies won at the sports were presented to the successful competitors at the performance of the above comedy last evening, Mr G. W. Morgan (owing to the unavoidable absence of his Worship the Mayor, B. G. Gower, Esq.), making the presentation. The recipients were greeted, with i,much applause.^
