SPORTS CLUB.
A meeting of the Committee of the Athletic Club was held last night in Whyte’s Hotel, there being a full attendance of committee men, R. Hines in the chair. It was decided to extend the entries for fhfe flax-sprading competition .until, Saturday evening. Entries now close with the secretary of the Employees’ Union (Mr P. Ti’Robinson) and with the secretary of the’Clnb. It was reported that all tracks are in perfect order for the sports- ■■ Mr MVPerreau’s offer to run refreshment booth was accepted. Permission was granted Messr£ Watson and Neville to erect a cycle exhibition stand, in a'position subject to the approval of the Committee.

Va'fious other matters of importance were discussed and the meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the chair.
