FIGHTING AT CASABLANCA.
Arabs Routed. Morocco,, September 5. The battle fought on Tuesdaj' was the biggest that has taken place at Casablanca. Eight thousand Arabs, singing and shouting, displayed great courage while advancing on the French troops, despite a heavy fire maintained by the warships in harbour. Algerian Calvalry were employed to entice the Arabs close to the French infantry, who played havoc with their rifles and mach-ine-guns, which were used with deadly effect for three hours. The Arabs advanced . and retreated, and advanced again, losing many men ; but carrying off their dead. The Provost-Commander of-the Foreign Legation, with two officers and seven men, were killed, and seventeen men were wounded, on the French side. More French Troops. Morocco, September 4. General Drude has received considerable reinforcements at Casablanca.
