GRAND BAZAAR.
A meeting was held on Thursday afternoon by the ladies of All Saints’ Guild and it was decided to hold a large bazaar in October next. A committee of ladies and gentlemen was chosen and Mr Lewis Wilson, who has worked so indefatigably on previous occasions, was appointed secretary and treasurer for the event. The bazaar will last two days and will be flolowed in the third evening by a subscription dance. The object is to raise funds for the Ghurch and to enable certain improvements to be made, such as the painting of All Saints Church, and other matters which require immediate attention. The guild ladies have been steadily working during the past year and have collected a large and useful stock of beautiful articles. In addition to this a girls guild has started under the management of Mesdames Adams and Healey, and will have a stall of fancy and plain goods at the bazaar. It is hoped that the member for the district will open the bazaar and there is every promise of it being a great success. Further particulars and advertisements will be published at a later date.
