The Hon. W. Hall-Jones, Minister of Public Works, embarked on the steamship Kaipara at Lyttelton on Thursday for England. When asked for a farewell message, he replied: ‘ 1 Tell the people how very grateful I am for all their kindness. Tell them how I appreciate the consideration shown me by my colleagues and members of Parliament, the good wishes of public men, of local bodies, of the press and the people generally.
