THE DERADNOUGHT.
London, February 7,
The Dreadnought steamed from Gibraltar to Trinidad at a speed of over seventeen knots throughout. The propelling machinery was in excellent condition, and the fuel remaining aboard would have sufficed for a further thousand miles at the same speed. This is a record speed for a battleship on a long voyage, though it was not a trial at high speed, inasmuch as it is believed the Dreadnought travelled under her most economical conditions.
