THE MOUTOA BONANZA.
] TO THK EDITOR J g IEi —X noticed in your Inst issue an article on the “ Moutoa Estate Bonanza.” \ou forgot to mention another point about bow the spendulix is raised to increase dividends. It is this. Say Jones lias a mill; be pays £3OO to tbe Moutoa syndciatc for the right to cut flax—be can please himself whether he pays it qr not because the syndicate monopolises flax in this immediate neighbourhood and he must cither pay it or go to soipe other part. Well, he pays and after a time sells out to Brown. I)o you know what happens, sir, Brown is screwed for another £3OO from the syndicate for the right to cut. Now perhaps it’s no business of mine but is that kind of thing “honest Ingin.” Some people might think so but I dont. I just remind you sir that your informant forgot to tell you this point, that’s all— Yours etc. “ Glout Hole.”
