A GROWL.
At the next meeting of the local Chamber of Commerce, to be held next week, the advisability of forming a harbour board will once again be brought up. We suggest that the Courthouse and Post Office buildings be also discussed by the Chamber, It appears that Foxton’s requirements will not receive much attention from the Government unless a deputation consisting of members of the Council and Chamber and prominent townsmen goto Wellington and thrash the matter out with the Ministers. What has Foxton got to thank the Government for during the past ten years ? Considerable ' revenue is derived from this quarter annually, and yet our requirements are persistently ignored. We have been true to the Great Liberal Party and in return we are patted on the head and put aside. We are ’ ‘ full up ” of this treatment and the sooner the Government are made aware of the fact the better.
