S.M. Court.
At the local S.M. Court yesterday morning, before Dr Bennett and Alf Fraser, Ksq., J’s. P., John Winter was charged with drunkenness and procuring liquor, he being a prohibited person. He pleaded guilty and was convicted and discharged on the first charge. A previous conviction had been recorded against him on the second charge, the Constable pointing out the fine for which had not yet been paid. Accused asked to be dealt leniently with. Fined 10s and costs ys, in default seven days.
