PARLIAMENT.
* — THE FINANCIAL debate. The debate on the financial Statement is to be commenced in the House this evening, when the leader of the Opposition will lead off. He will devote a considerable portion of his speech to the land question. This will give the Minister of Lands an opportune of elaborating the land proposals of the Government contained in the Budget. It is probable that the leader of the Opposition will lest the feeling of the House on the land question by tabling a motion adverse to the Government’s policy. With a view to clearly defining the attitude of the new Parliament dh the freehold v. leasehold question.
