FOXTON —THIS DAY. (Before Dr Bennett and A. Fraser, Esqs., J.’sP.) • John Bennett, a West Indian native, was charged with the theft on or about August 21st of a brooch valued 15s, the property of Reaheapa Williams. Accused pleaded guilty. Constable Whitehouse said accused sold the brooch for 2s. Nothing was known against the accused, except that he was addicted to drink. Accused was sentenced to 14 days’ hard labour in Palmerston g a °l. ..
