The All Black Family.
Those who journeyed to the Foxton Public Hall last evening cannot but feel satisfied with themselves, for the programme presented by the All Black Family of musicians was quite in keeping with their delightful entertainments. That they are talented goes without saying, and they put much life into their different items. Miss Nellie Black rendered many selections on the violin which bespoke much talent and received deafening applause, while Mr Bert Black’s jockey dance was worth going a long way to see. Little Miss Elsie acted serio-comic items to perfection and played flute solos with precision and accuracy. Miss Nellie proved that she is possessed of a pleasing contralto voice, and rendered many items to effect. Mr J. Black contributed comic songs, Bert and Elsie shone in a double dance, while the different musical selections by the Family, and the musical sketches by Mr and Miss Black created amusement.
Throughout the performance much applause greeted the different items, and last night’s performance has established the family as firm favourites with Foxtonians, Should the All Black Family decide to re-visit Foxton at any distant date they should be tendered a bumpei house.
