Foxton Football SubUnion.
A meeting of the Foxton Football Sub-Union was held at Eaing's Family Hotel on Thursday evening, there being present—Messrs J. Jillett (chairman), J, Thompson, F. Robinson, R. Newth, J. Williams, and E. G, Sutherland. The question was raised as to whether it was right to allow the Albions to play as a junior team without attaching themselves to some senior club.
The meeting wait not fully representative of Clubs, hence It was decided to hold the matter over.
It was decided that Mr W. Broughton have charge of the Huia-Awahou match on Saturday. The secretary was given power to use his own discretion in the matter of payment of referees expenses. W A further donation of one guinea from Mr H. Bailey (vice president) received thanks. Votes of thanks to the chair and to Mr Laing for the use of room concluded the business.
The meeting of the Union to leal with the junior question will oe held next Thursday night. It was to have been held to-night, but owing to unforseen circumstances, it will have to be put off. By next Thursday night, all junior nominations must be in the hands of the secretary, as the competition will be started the following Wednesday.
