Presentation to Mr, Mrs and Misses Levett.

A gathering of friends of Mr and Mrs J. T. Levett met at the Manawafu Hotel on Thursday eyenihg for the purpose of saying " Good Bye ” to them, prior to leaving Foxton. On behalf of the donors, Mr E. L. Hill made the presentations, and in doing so, eulogistically referred to the many good qualities of their departing guests. The speaker especially referred to Mr Levett’s connection with Church work. The presentations con* sisted of a signet ring to Mr Levett, a cut glass silver mounted jewel case to Mrs Levett, and silver mounted smelling salt* bottle to the Misses Levett. Hearty applause greeted tfifc presentations, after the health of the departing family had been drank in bumpers. Mr J. T. Levett suitably re* turned his thanks on behalf of himself and family. Vocal items were contributed by Messrs L. E. Reade, R. Grace, and E. Sutherland. After refreshments had been handed round the singing ot “AuldLang Syne” and “God Save The King” brought proceedings to a close.
