The Last Say.

A CORRECTION. TO THE EDITOR OP THE MANAWATU HERALD. Sir, — It is not ray intention, as I intimated in my last letter, to refer again to the correspondence, it being quite unnecessary to do so. But I think it is due both to yourselves and to me to correct a slight misunderstanding. I omitted the word “editorial,” to which a'ou refer in your foot-note, merely for the purpose of shortening the sentence and avoiding undue repetition and prolixity, not with the intention of altering the meaning. It did not occur to me at the time that its omission or insertion, affected the sense in any way, or that it would have any bearing on a distinction between editorial and business departments. The matter is almost too trivial to refer to, if it were not that it prevents me from honestly taking credit for the 1 ( cunning ’ ’ which you attribute to me. —I am, etc.. R. Moore.
