ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE. MORE DAMAGE CAUSED.

The insurance losses at ’Frisco are estimated at between thirty and forty million sterling, falling upon a hundred and seven companies. New wharves and depots on the water front are being planned to cost five million sterling. Sydney, April 26.
Spreckels has cabled that all officials connected with the Oceanic Company at ’Frisco are safe ; and also states that the railways are intact, and there will be no difficulty in the despatch of mails. The Sierra is leaving Sydney on Monday. New York, April 26.
Another shock has occurred in San Francisco. It lasted a minute and caused many of the burned buildings to collapse. Wellington, April 26.

Government Agent at San Francisco, cables to the Premier as follows ‘ 1 Oaklands, Wednesday night Three-quarters of San Francisco was ' destroyed and many lives have been lost. Two hundred million dollars worth of property has been lost. All our Governments records are burnt.” In order that there may be no more delay than possible on the Sonoma’s mails, which are being shipped by the Moana from Vancouver, the Government will send the Tutanekai to meet the Moana on her arrival and bring mails down to New Zealand.
