Good weather prevailed for the Horowhenua Races yesterday, there being a fair attendance o F people from all parts of the district. Racing was fair, and in most cases speculators found the winners. A surprise was effected in the Cup, Bourrasque suffering defeat by Flamsn, ridden by Syd Reid. Resu’ts:—

Park Stakes.—Sir Geraint 1, Marguerite 2, Furneaux 3, Flotilla was scratched. Divs., £1 12s and 15s. Koputoroa Hack. —The Lark 1. Maui 2, Aorangi 3. Pretty Maid was scratched. Divs., £2 and 19s.
