Mine disaster.
Paris, March 14.
The Socialists at Courierres. after the funerals of the victims of the late disaster, made violent' speeches denouncing the mine owners, and cries of “ Down- with the capitalists and murderers.’’ Full investigation is urged. The excitement is increasing and : the men have struck for a ten per cent increase in wages. The strike is spreading to other districts. The engineer asserts that men are still alive in the remote galleries of the Courrieres mines. Falls of the roof impede searching.
