Mack’s Pictures.

The announcement that the doings of our footballers were to be thrown upon the screen by the biograph at the Public Hall last night drew a large audience tc patronise MacDermott’s Touring Co. It can hardly be expected that the whole game of football could be watched by such means as the biograph—so difficult and changeable are the angles to obtain views. Nevertheless, what films were shown last night were clear and distinct, and, at all events, pleased those who came to gain a glimpse of our lads as they ap peared in the Home land. Many humourous pictures created much amusement, notably “ The Christmas Goose.” Professor Smith, a conjurer and ventriloquist, proved himself a clever society entertainer, and certainly deterved the applause he received. His slight-of-hand evolutions were clean, whilst his gags elicited laughter. MacDermott’s Coy. will probably pay Foxton a return visit shortly.
